Gadsden Volunteers at United Way Day of Action

August 1, 2016

At United Way Day of Action, the Inteva team from Gadsden, AL split into groups and completed work for four different agencies. One group conducted a landscape project at a local elementary school. Another group volunteered at the library where they were tasked with typing descriptions to accompany more than 2,000 old pictures. Two other groups painted at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club and a local Drama and Arts Studio.

This event is the county’s largest single-day volunteer effort in action. Hundreds of volunteers from local businesses, companies and schools fanned out across the county to help local non-profit agencies catch up on the long list of projects needing to be completed. Tasks such as painting, landscaping, cleaning and general maintenance needed attention and 16 employees from Inteva’s Gadsden location volunteered to take part. Some team members even recruited their family members to help.

A job well done by our team members in Gadsden, Alabama.
